Tampereen Tornit Ky, a joint venture owned by LähiTapiola, OP Financial Group, Ilmarinen, and SRV, has sold Kiinteistö Oy Kansi ja Areena Pysäköinnin—the parking facility of the Tampere Deck and Arena—to a fund managed by Germany-based AIF Capital Group. The transaction is valued at approximately €11.5 million.
The parking facility is an integral part of the Tampere Deck and Arena project, which was developed and constructed by SRV in collaboration with investment partners LähiTapiola, OP Financial Group, and Ilmarinen. The Tampere Deck and Arena is a comprehensive development that includes office spaces, a hotel, and restaurants. These features enable commercial use even when the arena is not hosting events. The arena itself is equipped to handle megaproductions required by international star artists, large-scale sports and entertainment events, as well as conferences and various corporate events.
The parking facility has approximately 550 parking spaces, providing ample capacity to accommodate visitors to the Nokia Arena and the surrounding complex.
“The sale of the Tampere Deck and Arena parking facility is part of the joint venture’s exit strategy for the Tampere Deck and Arena project. It is reassuring to have secured a long-term owner focused on parking facilities across Europe,” said Markku Mäkiaho, Director of Real Estate Investment at OP Financial Group.
The predominantly underground parking facility was completed in 2021 as part of the Nokia Arena complex. It has been leased to parking operator Aimo Park under a long-term agreement.
