Bolivo Makes First Finnish Investment with Acquisition of 142 Espoo Apartments from Finnish Foundation

Matinkallio 2, Espoo

Bolivo, a sustainable residential investment platform focused on Nordic opportunities, has announced its first investment in Finland with the acquisition of 142 rental apartments in Espoo. The acquisition encompasses three separate residential assets and was executed in partnership with Altaal and Avant Capital Partners.

The acquired apartments have already undergone substantial renovations and have a high occupancy rate. Bolivo sees this investment as a compelling opportunity for long-term value creation through active asset management and strategic ESG enhancements

Bolivo’s investment approach includes ESG-driven improvements focused on enhancing energy efficiency and overall sustainability of the properties. They also employ a structured leasing framework, capitalizing on the high demand for quality housing in Espoo through a well-defined leasing process. Furthermore, Bolivo maintain a strategic partnership with Avant Capital Partners to effectively execute the asset management strategy.

Bolivo’s financing comes from Swedish foundations and private capital, complemented by support from Nordic banks, highlighting institutional confidence in the platform’s investment model. The company is actively pursuing further selective expansion opportunities, concentrating on prime micro-locations across the Nordic region.

Based on web research, the properties have been sold by Asuntosäätiö, a housing foundation with a rich history in Finnish urban development. The foundation was established by six Finnish civic organizations, including e.g. the Invalidiliitto, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK).

Newsec acted seller’s advisor in the transaction.
